Food/Beverage/Gear Vendors

A variety of local vendors will be onsite as well as a variety of local craft beer led by beer sponsors Sierra Nevada Brewing, Pisgah Brewing Company, and Urban Orchard Cider. Below are some of the vendors who were on site in 2016; an updated vendor list for 2017 will be released in early May.

Carrier Park Rules

  • No Smoking

    Fresh mountain air to inhale instead.

  • No Coolers

    Support local! There will be plenty of local food vendors on site.

  • No Dogs

    Sorry we know they are fond of the outdoors too, but they are not allowed at Carrier Park (City of Asheville regulation).

  • No Outside Alcohol

    We’ve got you covered with the beer available at the festival.

  • Do clean up your trash

    There are bins around, help us out!

  • Do be conscious of where you park

    Carrier Park is located in a residential area and parking is limited. Please note the parking signs and be respectful of the residents.

Mountain Sports Festival as partnered with Asheville Convention and Visitors Bureau to bring visitors to Asheville for the festival and events special rates for Hotels and travel information. Go to Asheville Convention and Visitors Bureau Website where you’ll find a list of hotel rates for the Mountain Sports Festival Weekend. Be sure to use the rate codes listed when making your reservation.

In 2016 we are proud again to have the Outdoor Gear Builders’ Village. The Festival has worked to bring a focus on local manufacturing bringing the mountains most innovative and unique Outdoor Gear manufacturers to the festival. Festival Village will be packed with outdoor adventure gear manufacturers and exhibitors showing off their wares while demonstrating all the latest equipment with tips and techniques for enjoying the outdoors.

Attendees will be surprised to learn how many companies make gear in Western North Carolina. With the Outdoor Gear Builders Village, the festival will highlight WNC’s local outdoor adventure gear manufacturers, such as Swaygo GearLightheart GearTsuga, Native Watercraft, American Backcountry, Blue Ridge Chair Works, Simple Shot Shooting Sports, Industry Nine Componentry, Eagles Nest Outfitters, Recover, DeFeet, liquidlogic, Harmony House Foods, Rightline Gear, Cane Creek, Outrider USA, TerraForma Outdoor Solutions, GoWorx, Misty Mountain Threadworks, SylvanSport, Astral, Watershed Drybags, Bellyak, and Threshold Provisions.

The Festival Village will also have a handful of Outdoor Retailers; Second Gear, Diamond Brand Outdoors,  & Nantahala Outdoor Center.
